JUST ANNOUNCED
Dunlop will be attending the MOA Rally in Redmond, Oregon, to sell and install tires on a first-come, first-served basis.
The brand-new Trailmax Raid tires will be available for the first time in a variety of sizes. The Raid features an all-new Hi Silica compound and is an aggressive (40/60) on/off-road tire, designed to provide excellent off-road traction and grip while cornering or in the rain, all while providing good chip resistance and a stable on-road experience. The tread pattern is derived from Dunlop's popular D908RR with an eye toward reducing rolling noise. Sized for 19- and 21-inch front wheels and 17- and 18-inch rear wheels. Find out more on Dunlop's Trailmax Raid web page.
In addition to the new Raids, Dunlop will also be offering its Trailmax Mission tires, which are a slightly less aggressive (60/40) on/off-road tire, and its popular Mutants, which are suitable for heavy road use and light off-road duty. Missions are available for 19- and 21-inch front wheels and 17- and 18-inch rears. Mutants are available for 17- , 18- and 19-inch front wheels and 17-inch rears. All Mutants other than the 110/80R19 are Z-rated.
For street bike riders, expect to find Sportmax Roadsmart IV tires, which are a high-mileage, multi-compound 100% road tire with outstanding wet grip and a redesigned sidewall to improve performance across the board. Ideal for sport and sport-touring motorcycles, Roadsmart IV tires can handle both a jaunt to the grocery store and a cross-country expedition with style and grace. Roadsmart IV tires are Z-rated and available for front 17- , 18- and 19-inch front and 17" rear wheels.
Check the rally app for any Dunlop-related announcements and for a site map showing the location of their outdoor booth.
Damn and I just put some new Missions on. Oh well, the old ones never would have made the trek to the rally.
What are their rates for install on a 1250 GS for Trailmax Missions? No sales tax on tires in Oregon, is that correct?
That is correct, Oregon does not have a sales tax.
We don’t know what the vendors will be charging for tire installs, sorry. You’ll have to ask once you’re on site.
